WOOOOW, just wow!! I have nothing to say. I didn’t see the plot twist at the end of the book coming at all. #murdertrending was a great book to start with for the new year. I love how this book was not predictable AT ALL. Some of the mystery books I read, always give away the killer before I finished reading the book. While reading the book, I was laughing my head off because of Griselda’s sarcasm and Ethan’s funny remarks and movie liners. Ethan was my favorite character in this book. Gretchen McNeil is an excellent author; I know that I will be reading other books by her, especially the book #2 of this book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!! You wouldn’t regret it! 5★stars 🙂

One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus 5★stars
I literally couldn’t put this book down. It was so good!!! I loved the suspense!! I would highly recommend this book to someone!! 🙂
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate 5★stars
Before We Were Yours was a heartbreaking and heart-wrenching read. I couldn’t read Rill’s parts in the book. It was too sad for me. I wished this was made up, but this happened in real life during the 1920s and it breaks my heart for the victims. Lisa Wingate did a great job writing this book. I’m glad that I read this book and learned about this. Everyone has to learn about Georgia Tann and how she stole kids from poor families and gave them to the rich. They never saw their birth parents or siblings again. That what made me very mad and sad. I highly recommend this to book to a stranger or a friend. They have to learn about the history that the book is based on.
The Girl You Thought I Was by Rebecca Phillips 5★stars
The Girl You Thought I Was was a wonderful read. I love the Rebecca Phillips’s writing style. I love the main character Morgan. I would recommend this book to a friend. 🙂
Even If I Fall by Abigail Johnson 5★stars
Even If I Fall was a heart felt reading about family and pain. I had s lot of mixed feeling while reading this book. I might recommend this book to someone. Glad I read this book. 🙂
Anaconda: Golden Flower, Haiti by Edwidge Danticat 5★stars
Anacaona: Golden Flower, Haiti, 1490 was an interesting read. It was nice to learn more about my Haitian heritage and history of Haiti. I would recommend this to people to read. 🙂
People Like Us by Dana Mele 4★stars
Even since People Like Us came out last year, I been waiting forever to read it. The cover and the description is what drew me in. Now that I finally got to read it, I have some thoughts and opinions on the book. The story and the main character was ok. However, I didn’t like how Kay’s memories were written out. I had to figure out if I was reading the present or the past. It was really confusing. Dana could have made the transition from her past memories easier in order for the readers to know that they were reading about Kay’s past. Her “friends” are just a headache. I also pity Kay’s home life. Overall the book was really interesting. But it’s very predictable. I agree with the ending. Kay had nothing to do with the killings, but her actions and words lead up to the murders. I might recommend this book to someone who loves murder mysteries. 🙂
The Window by Amelia Brunskill 5★stars
Once I saw the book title and cover, I was hooked. The Window was a fast read. I started this yesterday and finished today. That’s how interesting this book is. Mostly because it’s a book about twins, like do I have to say more? Twins and mystery death like sign me up!! The main character Jess was really interesting to read. It was nice to read her thoughts. The ending I didn’t see coming AT ALL. I enjoyed reading it and happy that I finally get to read it! (Been waiting forever to read it, but could not find it at my public library lol, so I brought it at Barnes and Noble). I would recommend it if you are into triller and mystery books. Also a great first debut book for Amelia Brunskill. Hope to read more from her in the future. 🙂
Here Lies Daniel Tate by Cristen Terrill 5★stars
It was reallygood!!! The ending I had feelings about. I was expecting a happier ending. I find out the guy’s real name. I would recommend this to a friend to read because it’s really good. It had me hooked. 🙂 5★stars
1984 by George Orwell 5★stars
1984 was really interesting read. I had to read it for English class this year.I enjoy the surprising plot twist in Book 2. I was not expecting that plot twist. George Orwell’s book was well-written. I liked the story, the plot was really interesting. I would recommend this book to a friend.
I just wanted share with you the books I read during 2019, that I really didn’t love. Enjoy!
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick 3★stars
The characters were annoying, but good story.
You Don’t Know Me But I Know You by Rebecca Barrow 2★stars
The main character was, in my opinion, a bitch for no reason…I would not recommend this book to anyone.
In Too Deep by Amanda Grace 1★star
In Too Deep seemed like an interesting book by the description. However, by the first chapter, Sam, the main character was already annoying. She was just obnoxious. Sam tried to make her best friend, Nick, jealous by sleeping with the golden boy, Carter. However, that plan backfired. He rejects her. Someone thinks the worst when they see Sam coming out of his room. The next day, everyone in the school already thinks that he raped her, but he didn’t. Sam had many times to tell the truth to everyone about what happened at the party and what did not happened. But Sam kept on lying to everyone, including her best friend, Nick, because she didn’t want to lose him as her new boyfriend. In the end, she learned her lesson, when she lost everything. I would not recommend this book to anyone . This book was a total let down. *p.s. i made it to like chapter 5, that it become too bearable to read it. I just had to put the book down or I would have lose my mind from Sam’s thoughts.*
Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy 5★stars
Before reading the book, Dumplin’, I saw the movie. However, I didn’t know it was based on a book. I don’t know which one was better. I think the movie and the book are both really good, the book just goes into more detail. In the book, I noticed that the movie left out two characters, Mitch and Amanda. I really liked Mitch. He’s is a sweetheart and a gentleman. I also noticed that Willowdean is a bit judgmental to others different from her. She’s an okay character, but not my favorite character. My favorite character is Hannah. She’s a total badass!! I will totally recommend this book and the movie to a friend. 5★stars
You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn 2★stars
The two main characters were really annoying that I just couldn’t finish the book. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone.
Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum 3★stars
It was okay, just sometimes the main character got on my nerves. The stereotypes about California was annoying. Not everyone in California is blond, thin, and popular and a bitch. also Jessie claims to be a feminist, but all she was doing was hating on every girl that she believed was “hotter” or “prettier” than her, which was just annoying. I won’t recommend this book to anyone.
Anne of Green Gables was a wonderful read. I really liked reading about Anne Shirley. Anne Shirley had a positive viewpoint on the world, which I really liked about her. I love the relationship she has with Marilla and Matthew. Her relationship with Marilla is cute and sweet to read about. Anne made many mistakes because of her vivid imagination, however, she learned from her many many mistakes. I recommend reading this classic, you’ll like the story and Anne Shirley. Can’t wait to read the whole series! 😊 5★stars
I finally read the famous classic Pride and Prejudice. It was really fast, wonderful read. However, to be honest, I really did not get the plot line of the story. It was confusing to me. I give it four stars. I recommend reading it!! 🙂
Here Lies Daniel Tate was a really good read!!! The description was really interesting. The narrator was interesting. The readers don’t know what his name is and he doesn’t either. He is a abused teenage con artist who decide to fake being a rich kidnapped kid, Daniel Tate. Daniel went missing when he was ten years old without a trace until now. Suddenly, the mystery person’s life is going to change. Suddenly, he’s living with Daniel’s family. He soon finds out that they are super rich, but also super messed up. Everyone is keeping a secrets and lies from each other and he’s right in the middle of it. Towards the end, I didn’t see the plot twist at all. Which I had mixed feelings about. I was expecting a happier ending for Daniel Tate. I’m also still confused what happened at the end. I would recommend this book if you are interesting in mystery books. 5★stars

tried to take a picture of it in the window cause of the book title, but that idea didn’t go occuring to plan lol

I also pity Kay’s home life. Overall the book was really interesting. But it’s very predictable. I had a feeling that Nola was the killing once I read the poem about the cat. I agree with the ending. Kay had nothing to do with the killings, but her actions and words lead up to the murders. I might recommend this book to someone who loves murder mysteries. 4 ★stars
